A Day of Service
Due to Mayor Danny Avula’s complete focus on restoring water production, as well as the expected inclement weather, we are postponing all Inaugural Weekend events that were originally planned for January 11th. This postponement includes the swearing-in ceremony, service projects, and the evening celebration gatherings. We will communicate more details in the coming days.
We know this has been an incredibly challenging time for people all across the city and region as a whole. Mayor Danny Avula and his team are fully focused on restoring water production, bringing a safe end to the Boil Water Advisory, and fully analyzing and addressing the root causes of these challenges.
If you’ve bought a ticket to the Inaugural Celebration and have any questions, please email us at rsvp@dannyformayor.com. If you purchased a sponsorship package and have any questions, please reach out to Rachel Dyer at Rachel@dyerstrategies.com.
Finally, there will be many opportunities to continue serving our city in the coming weeks, particularly the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service and Remembrance on January 20th. You can see those projects here.
Please stay safe and continue to take care of each other.
