An update from Team Danny
Hey team,
The last couple of weeks have been an absolute whirlwind, and my campaign recently reached two incredibly important goals. First, we turned in all the petitions required to get on the ballot. Come November, you’ll find my name in the second spot on the ballot—surreal and exciting! Second, we announced that we’ve raised over $400,000 since our launch eight weeks ago. We’ve got amazing momentum, and that’s a testament to the overwhelming support I hear from Richmonders across the City.
I’m just so super grateful to my team, volunteers, supporters, and donors. I promise to work as hard as I can so that, together, we can build a healthy and thriving Richmond.
Keep reading for a quick look at what we got up to this week, what we’ve got lined up for next week, how to get involved, and a charming picture at the end!
Onward,
Danny

News
A couple of years ago, Danny and his daughter Arjanae wrote columns for the Richmond Times-Dispatch about the toll gun violence takes and the importance of reasonable gun violence prevention laws. With Gun Violence Prevention Day this past week, take a minute to read both Danny’s column and Arjanae’s column.
Here’s a short video Danny recorded last week about why he’s in this mayoral race.
Looking back
Danny joined the Metro Richmond Area Young Democrats for their get together and straw poll—and came away with a victory! It’s yet another indication of this campaign’s momentum and the energy we’re seeing in Richmond. Thank you to everyone who came out and voted.
